CNN: Kushner’s WH Status Still Being Used to Draw Investors

Jared Kushner’s White House status is being used to lure Chinese investors, according to a CNN investigation. In online promotions written in Chinese, businesses working with Kushner Companies, the Kushner family real estate business, write about “the celebrity of the family is 30-something ‘Mr. Perfect’ Jared Kushner, who once served as CEO of Kushner Companies.” A U.S. government program allows for investors to be given, at a minimum, a U.S. visa if they put down than $500,000. That program, known as EB-5, was mentioned in a separate posting along with a reference to President Donald Trump. “The lead developer on the now-completed project was Kushner Companies which is linked to Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner,” one reads, adding later: “Given this, in the Trump era, the EB-5 program is likely to receive support and be expanded.” A Kushner Companies spokesperson said the firm was not aware of the postings “and has nothing to do with them,” adding it plans to send a cease-and-desist letter.

Eric Trump Is Staggeringly Stupid
Did Eric Trump actually think wealthy Russians were dumping money into his dad’s golf courses during a recession because they’re big golf fans?
Note his statement on not needing American money because the have the Russians giving them all they want (around 1'15" into the tape)

Ivanka Trump's Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Month in the White House
Ivanka Trump needs permission to speak with her dad about the White House, as she's entrenched in new controversies each week throughout September.
By Chris Riotta

September has been a doozy for Ivanka Trump.

From interrupting meetings, to needing a grown-up's permission to talk to her dad, to the revelation that she used a private email to conduct government business, this has been a bad few weeks for the first daughter. September's not even over, but here's a roundup of the 35-year-old's very bad month:

Busting up a party in the Oval Office
Trump interrupted a key meeting between her father and bipartisan lawmakers focusing on raising the debt ceiling.

"Toward the end of the meeting Ivanka Trump entered the Oval Office to ‘say hello’ and the meeting careened off topic," a Democratic aide said, NBC News reported Sept. 6. "Republican leaders were visibly annoyed by Ivanka’s presence."

The first daughter was supposedly meant to enter the meeting and pitch her child care plan. More on that later.

How about those emails?
Trump began emailing the heads of major organizations like the United States Small Business Administration, asking to work with them and “explore opportunities to collaborate” after her father won the election—all the while using a private email account. The emails were obtained by the non-profit American Oversight and shared exclusively with Newsweek.

"Yet again we see that there’s one rule for the Trump family and another for everyone else," American Oversight's Executive Director Austin Evers said Monday. "It’s simply breathtaking that both Ivanka and Jared Kushner would conduct government [work] on a personal email account after running a campaign centered on that very issue. The fact that they would brazenly ignore rules governing email use raises even more questions about their judgment and fitness to hold positions in the White House."

It's even more ironic, given that the Trump campaign made a major issue of Hillary Clinton's use of private email during her time as Secretary of State. This week, Clinton slammed Trump's use of non-government email as the "height of hypocrisy."

Failure to launch child care
The first daughter’s child care plan would provide thousands of dollars in additional support to some of the nation’s wealthiest mothers, while working class families see as little as $5.55 extra annually, according to an analysis by the Center for American Progress. The initiative is seemingly dead on arrival, despite pleading with her father to work on the legislation since before his election. “Daddy, daddy, we have to do this,” the president recalled her saying during an Iowa rally last year.

Her failure has provided Democrats an opportunity to live up to their "Better Deals" platform, unveiling the Child Care for Working Families Act on Sept. 14.

"Instead of helping the one percent in this country with a new child care tax cut as some in the Trump administration are pushing," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, "Democrats are offering a better deal on the high cost of child care for working families, families in the middle and those trying to get to the middle, who need it the most."

Permission to speak with daddy, please
In an effort to re-establish order in the White House, Chief of Staff John Kelly created a new chain of command that requires virtually all advisers to report directly to him. Ivanka Trump, one of the president’s closest advisers, must seek permission from Kelly before speaking to her father about any government issues, the Washington Post reported this month.

The first daughter has followed his direction, at least to some extent; she ran by Kelly each of her meetings with foreign governments and organizations at the U.N. General Assembly in New York earlier this month.

The Ivanka Trump brand’s secretive Chinese dealings
The first daughter’s fashion brand has become less transparent since Trump assumed the Oval Office, the Associated Press reported Tuesday, citing less disclosure around which licensees are creating products for the Ivanka Trump brand, and which companies are involved in shipping them.

The cloud of secrecy over Trump’s business in China could raise concerns over her susceptibility to being influenced by Chinese officials, and whether she and her husband Jared Kushner are making economic deals that could crush American jobs but benefit business owners such as themselves.

Trump's brand manager Abigail Klem said Ivanka Trump's businesses do not get subsidies from the Chinese government, but admitted that its licensees might.

“We license the rights to our brand name to licensing companies that have their own supply chains and distribution networks,” Klem told the AP. “The brand receives royalties on sales to wholesalers and would not benefit if a licensee increased its profit margin by obtaining goods at a lower cost.”

She's accused of not even liking her nephew!
As if Trump hasn’t received enough criticism, Hollywood A-list celebrity and queen of Twitter Chrissy Teigen corrected her using the word "otherwise" in a tweet about her baby nephew, Luke Trump.

"Cuddling my little nephew Luke... the best part of an otherwise incredible day!" Trump tweeted Wednesday.

Teigen for the slam: "Otherwise implies you did not like hangin with this baby," the supermodel said. "Overall, is the word."

In conclusion...
Overall, this has been a no good, very bad, terrible month for the president's daughter. Crying or Very sad

Donald Trump Tells Ivanka, 'Baby, You're Getting Killed,' As Her White House Role Shrinks
Chris Riotta,Newsweek 15 hours ago

President Donald Trump is reportedly mulling over how well Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner can continue to serve as key figures in the White House amid their constant bad press.

Meanwhile, Axios reported Monday that Ivanka and her husband are attempting to "stay in their lane" and shrinking their ambiguous roles in the administration, as White House Chief of Staff John Kelly implements stricter policies throughout the West Wing.

The president confronted his daughter in front of several staffers, telling her, "Baby, you’re getting killed, this is a bad deal," a Politico report published Friday stated.

A White House official told Politico the president isn't seeking to oust either of his family members from his administration—instead, he'd like to protect them from the barrage of bad press.

Others in the administration are frustrated with the couple's presence in political affairs as well, including White House Counsel Don McGahn, who has "vented to friends about the complications" of having the president's family members working in the administration, according to Axios.

Trump also has tweeted his disdain for news reports raising nepotism and ethics issues over his family's role in the administration since he assumed the Oval Office.

"I am so proud of my daughter Ivanka," the president tweeted in February. "To be abused and treated so badly by the media, and to still hold her head so high, is truly wonderful!"

He also defended his daughter after she sat in for him at a meeting with world leaders during the G20 summit in July and drew widespread criticism for it. "When I left Conference Room for short meetings with Japan and other countries, I asked Ivanka to hold seat," Trump tweeted July 10. "Very standard. Angela [Merkel] agrees!"

The first daughter has made an effort to adhere to Kelly's orders, which include informing the chief of staff about all meetings she plans with world leaders or international organizations, and asking for permission to speak with her father on government matters. But Kushner, whose varying job ambitions include establishing peace in the Middle East and overhauling America’s tax and trade policies, has reportedly been grappling with how to oblige by Kelly’s formal processes.

Politico reported that Kelly was "livid" about Kushner’s dealings in the White House after it was discovered he had back-channel communications with lawmakers to discuss the president’s decision on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The chief of staff then asked to be briefed on the administration's strategy regarding the DACA decision, White House officials said.

Still, Kelly has appeared willing to work with Kushner for the most part, saying in a statement: "Jared is a valued member of the White House staff."

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Ivanka’s role in the administration.

The ethics issues and potential violation of nepotism laws have loomed over Ivanka and Kushner ever since the two officially joined the administration. Kushner, considered one of the most critical members of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, has been one of the president's right-hand men, organizing his trip to Saudi Arabia and advising him on a number of domestic issues, from health care to immigration.

The first daughter has inserted herself into the administration as well, interrupting key meetings in the Oval Office to pitch her childcare plan, for example, and pushing for other initiatives that have failed to take shape.

Ivanka Trump Could Run For President
The first daughter has been involved in politics since her father took office.

Ivanka Trump could run for president in the next 15 years, according to her mother Ivana.

In her new book ‘Raising Trump,’ which is released on October 10, President Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump, who is the mother to three of his children, speculated that the first daughter could run for office in future.

“First Lady? Holds no appeal for me personally. First Mother? That could work,” Trump wrote in her eagerly-anticipated book, an early copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press.

A Trump dynasty leading the US for the foreseeable future? Imagine Ivanka president with Kushner as First Gentleman, where he would be responsible with even more tasks than he has now (though what he's done about it, including peace in the Middle East, has yet to be seen!)

That's enough to give us all nightmares!!! Eek
