Police: Bavarian official says attacker was denied asylum
HAKAN KAPLAN and DAVID RISING,Associated Pres

ANSBACH, Germany (AP) — A man who blew himself up and injured 12 people after being turned away from an open-air music festival was a 27-year-old Syrian who had been denied asylum, Bavaria's top security official said early Monday.

"We don't know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others," Bavarian interior minister Joachim Herrmann said.

He added that the man's request for asylum was rejected a year ago, but he was allowed to remain in Germany because of the strife in Syria.

Three of the 12 victims suffered serious injuries, Herrmann said.

A spokesman for the prosecutor's office in Ansbach said the attacker's motive wasn't clear.

"If there is an Islamist link or not is purely speculation at this point," said the spokesman, Michael Schrotberger.

The explosion came as Germany, and the southern state of Bavaria in particular, have been on edge. Just two days earlier, a man went on a deadly rampage at a Munich mall, killing nine people and leaving dozens wounded.

And an ax attack on a train near Wuerzburg last Monday wounded five. A 17-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker was shot and killed by police as he fled the scene.

It's not over because among the daily inflow of refugees are the next terrorist candidates. This migratory flow has nothing to do with that of last century - the Spaniards, Italians, Poles, etc. came to France to work, not to demand as a right assistance from the State.

Open borders, a divided Europe. We are paying cash for those.

On a different topic: total silence from Europe on Mr. Erdogan's dictatorship. We slam Putin daily, but not one word on a dangerous Tukey. In a word, once again I see the failure of the European Union.

All this mess will echo in America and bring grist to Nero aka Trump and his supporters' mill. The outgoing president Obama is silent on this drifting world, as is King François in France, who is sending artillery and aircraft carrier to Iraq - what good are those when a simple truck driver can kill and wound over a hundred people in just a few minutes. To quote the famous Black Baron - Rotten world, I spew you out!

When I think that Erdogan's Turky claims to be part of Europe! We already are unable to agree in time of crisis (like this migrant crisis) with the countries geographically and culturally close to us! Rolling Eyes Sad

Fort Myers Shooting: 2 Dead, More Than Dozen Wounded After Teen Event

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/fort-myers-nightclub-shooting-1-dead-14-others-reportedly-wounded-n615961

At least two people were killed and more than a dozen others injured after a shooting outside a Florida nightclub hosting an event for teens, officials said early Monday.

The gunfire rang out just as family members were picking up their kids from Club Blu in Fort Myers, where the "no ID required" party had just finished.

Some of the victims as young as 12, according to authorities. The two victims who died were identified by Fort Myers police Monday morning as Ste'fan Strawder, 18 and Sean Archilles, 14.

"We are deeply sorry for all involved," Club Blu said in a Facebook post. "We tried to give the teens what we thought was a safe place to have a good time."

The club said there was "armed security" at the event for children between the ages of 12 and 17, adding there "was nothing more we could have done." Although police did not immediately give information about the identity of the suspects, the club said that "it was not kids at the party that did this despicable act."

Police said that officers responded to the parking lot of Club Blu at around 12:30 a.m. to find multiple people suffering gunshot wounds ranging from minor to life-threatening. They said Monday that the violence was not an act of terror.
At least 17 people were hurt, said Lisa Sgarlata, the Chief Administration Officer of Lee Memorial Hospital, where 16 people sought treatment. Sgarlata said many were released from the hospital quickly, and only four remained hospitalized late Monday morning. Two were in fair condition and two were in critical condition.

The victims were aged between 12 and 27.

France church attack: Priest killed by two 'IS soldiers'

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36892785

An 84-year-old priest was killed and four other people taken hostage by two armed men who stormed his church in a suburb of Rouen in northern France.

The two attackers, who said they were from the so-called Islamic State (IS), slit Fr Jacques Hamel's throat during a morning Mass, officials say.

Police later surrounded the church, in St-Etienne-du-Rouvray, and shot dead both hostage-takers.

One of the hostages is in a critical condition in hospital.

Pathetic, pathetic, the poor Hollande. One doesn't believe for one second what he's saying (Does he even believe it himself?) - With these words, always the same, "fanatism, terrorism", but never, never "islamism".

So this yellow belly is going to make us win the war? It's really too funny, except that with the murder of innocent people, one after the other, no one feels like laughing. We should start with a good clean-up in France.
