3. The Hare with Amber Eyes, by Edmund de Waal.

This not being part of the "Ten books" game, I started taking out the numbering. Then I put it back, it'll be easier to keep track and see how many boring books our little group here have read, or tried to read. I could never finished "The Hare..." shameless grin

7. O Jerusalem - Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins

I guess I'm not interested enough in the history of the Middle East, all its complexities and ramifications. I got lost in a hurry and just stopped reading.

8. L'été meurtrier (One Deadly Summer) - Sébastien Japrisot

I don't know, I usually like Japrisot's mysteries (Adieu l'Ami, Le passager de la pluie, and especially the awesome Un long dimanche de fiançailles, all of which have been made into good movies) but I just couldn't get into this one. I haven't seen the movie based on it either. Maybe if I do, I'll come back and try again.
