Calamarilla, that post was priceless. Thank you for bringing Lessa in, and especially thank you for continuing my rant against Draco for risking life and limb by singing his twisted song in front of Jordan, Hagrid, and three Weasleys on dragons. Plus me. If I send a Bludger at his head it won't be the first time. Or am I the only one that remembers Lyra doing that in the Backbeats v. Knockers game?

Oh, and I hope you don't mind me translating your name into Quenya in the spirit of cross-universe gaming. That's what Smaug and Nimrauglir would call you if they deign to speak during or after this match: light of the pearl. hug

Thank you. Embarassed I had a lot of fun writing it. I'm not good at finding creative Quidditch moves, so I write about other things in the game. I like Lessa and Ramoth a lot, so... I refrained from adding F'lar and Mnementh though. But someone else can do it if they find the need.

I don't remember the bludger at Draco's head incident back on CoS - but the way he's going, it's sure to happen again!

Calamarilla has a nice sound to it. ten Except it's "pearl of light", not "light of the pearl". Would that become Marillacala? I prefer the first version. Very Happy

Er. I'm not sure, I'm not the best at Quenya syntax. I think you would have to re-arrange the letters for it to mean pearl of light instead of light of the pearl. You might even have to use a different word for light other than "cala" because there are a few in Quenya.

I'm sure whatever it was would turn out just as pretty as Calamarilla, but it rolls off the tongue and needs no special characters to type. So if you're happy I'm happy.

And I don't think I actually hit Draco in the head, just did some damage to the commentator's booth, in the Backbeats/Knockers game. Twisted Evil

*researches ardalambion*

*returns**

I think it would be Marilla Calava, or maybe Calavamarilla. Which is pretty, but unnecessarily long, so I still like Calamarilla better as a name.

Bringing it back round to dragon Quidditch, the name of the dragon I lent to Oliver Wood means the Song (or Chant) of a fearsome white Creature. Very Happy

Why don't you all come closer to me with your dragons so I can have a little fun?

It actchally could be fun having some scenes with the dragons battling the Whomping Willow if a bludger, the quaffle or, heaven forbid, the snitch, should get entangled in those deadly branches. Eek

How do you think I trained my Dragons to play Quidditch? super grin

Unfortunately there are penalties for flying that far from the pitch, otherwise the Jabberwock and I would cheerfully fly over and keep warm by dodging branches.

Snape is already watching me, for some reason. Maybe he has a mind to report me for experimental breeding, as Charlie seems to have decided that the Jabberwock is half Hungarian Horntail instead of an import from Wonderland.

Perhaps I should use my beater's bat and a random Bludger to send him on a trip down the nearest rabbit hole?

Well, that and practice sessions with Julia (witchsmart) and Dags. Only Dags liked to use Quodpots instead of regular Quaffles. Twisted Evil

Practice is all very well, but what about the current game? Is that Quidditch game dead on the water? No one has posted anything there in weeks. Where's Witchsmart? confused

I don't know where witchsmart is, webwise, but she's in college in New York (I think) and very busy with finals to judge by her facebook status posts.

As for the game I feel it's very much someone else's turn right now; I tried to address the Red Chasers and Seeker in my last post there, and thought I'd left it open especially for Bill or LesBlues to post the next move. But no one has continued after my ellipsis.
