I came across this fascinating article in a post about the British class system.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

The poster made this comment:

There's a fascinating article in today's paper about a very famous photograph from the thirties that supposedly highlights the British class system (it gets rolled out every time there's an article about private education). In fact the truth is much more complicated than the photo suggests.
